We are celebrating Jeffrey’s 17th birthday today. Jeffrey was with us for 15 amazing years and he deeply impacted all those he met during his life. It is with strong feelings of sorrow, happiness and adoration that I look back on the life of my son.
A significant amount of time has passed since I lasted posted to this site. I will be posting more often to share news about how this amazing person impacted us and how he continues to change us for the better.
It has been a long and sad time since Jeffrey went to heaven on July 28, 2018. The last 15 months have been extraordinarily difficult for Tina, Ashley and me. Yet, we have continued to grow and realize what is important in life and what is just noise. Tina continues to organize the collection of gift cards, books, pillowcases and toys for children who are receiving care at Rady Children’s Hospital Peckham Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders. Ashley, after taking a semester off to grieve the loss of her brother and best friend, is completing her Psychology bachelor’s degree program at California State University Dominguez Hills in December.
Jeffrey’s death has had a significant impact on the entire extended family of grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. It has drawn us closer together as a family and it has caused many of us take a measure of what is important to us. Tina and I continue to work on starting a foundation to support Jeffrey’s passions and to also support families that are going through similar medical challenges. I look forward to sharing more information soon.
Jeffrey’s love of life will not be forgotten.
